Additional information Het feit dat Voorhelm Schneevoogt van buitengewoon hoogleraar lector werd hield verband met het feit dat hij in plaats van zijn functie als geneesheer van het Buitengasthuis een baan als rijksambtenaar had aanvaard, namelijk Inspecteur der Krankzinnigengestichten, en die was onverenigbaar met het ambt van hoogleraar. Hij mocht echter de titel van professor behouden.
